The fifth chakra, Vishuddha, located in the throat area. It is associated with communication, self-expression, truth, and the creative transmission of thoughts. The color most often associated with this chakra is blue or light blue. A balanced Throat chakra helps to clearly express needs and feelings, encourages honesty both with oneself and with others. However, if this chakra is overly active, a person may talk incessantly or become sharp in discussions, and when it is too weak – it is difficult to say what is really thought, there is a lack of confidence in one's voice or fear of criticism.

When Balanced
