✨ What makes alunite special?
- Its geometry is exceptionally regular: alunite crystallizes in the cubic system and often forms octahedra – eight-faced shapes resembling two joined pyramids.
- Transparency can have colors: a pure crystal is usually colorless or white, but impurities may give it soft pink, yellow, or violet or grayish hues.
- It is unlike an ordinary gemstone: alunite is rather soft and dissolves easily in water, so its its delicate beauty depends on a dry environment and careful handling.
